Windows Update stuck @ Checking for Updates | Microsoft Surface Forums

Hi, So I finally picked up a SP3 i7 model. So far I have been rather pleased, except for the fact that I cannot get Windows Update to work for the life of me. It sits at "Checking for updates" for several minutes before finally erroring out, stating that
