Windows 2003 R2 V2V (VMware) "Error Loading Operating System"

When I start the VM it appears to start, however when I "connect" to it, I see a black screen, white text "error loading operating system" I have reviewed various entries here to no avail. Suggestions? Tom Fleischmann
