an i7 @ 4ghz should give the same performance as a 3770k at ... I'm running a i7 950 stable at 4,2 ghz on a Asus P6X58D-E MB. ..... its basically the feeling I had from Core 2 duo 3ghz to core 2 Quad > i5 760 vs i7 3770.
