Specifying MS SQL Server Instance Names? - Google Search Appliance/Google Mini

Hi there, Is there a way to specify an MS SQL Server instance name for database crawling? Typical syntax is SERVER\INSTANCE, but it appears that GSA doesn't care for the backslash, or an escaped version ( SERVER\\INSTANCE ). Any help would be
