Prolific USB to serial Driver Windows 7 SOLVED (with partial fix for windows 8) | Andrew's profound

My adapter is a Gearhead Ca2050 (made in China) bought from Frys. Neither the driver version from disk that came with it or the Windows Update version (same as from prolific site) worked on my win7 32/64 machine. Had to use the pick driver solution posted
