Programs Files vs Program files (x86) - Microsoft Community

21 Mar 2010 ... What is the difference between the "Program Files" folder & the "Program ... folders that are listed are for 32 bit and 64 bit version of Windows 7. The folder with (x86) is for 32 bit version.
