Java (minecraft) Lag!?

Well, whenever I try to open a game that involves Java, (in my case, Minecraft) My computer runs it smoothly for about 5 minutes. Then all of a sudden, there's a lot of LAG! Here are my specs Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (6.1, Build 760
