How do I remove the black Google toolbar and blue 'Click here to start sharing' bar?

I have an XP Home Service Pack 3 Firefox 8. I somehow acquired “Google+” and I want to remove it completely. There is toolbar showing “+you Web Images Videos ..... ”, and there is a blue box beneath this toolbar displaying “Click here to start sharing Goo
