Acer Aspire 5050-5343 SATA Issue - hardware answers

So I have this laptop and the Sata controller doesn't seem to function... Any ideas on how to get it working? Or ... Acer aspire 5050*... Good luck with that one ... The first problem is the fact that its a Mass Manufactured computer... Wasnt designed for
